2011 Spring Fashion Show & Dinner

We welcomed back BOC Productions and enjoyed an entertaining fashion show with models and dance. Showcased were fashions from Berta Sawyer of Jenkintown and youth fashions by GAP, GAPKids and Yours, Mine & Ours Quality Children’s Consignment of Newtown.

SPECIAL THANKS to All Participants and Supporters of the Libertae’s 6th Annual Lesley Duco Memorial Bike Run!

2010 Spring Fashion Show & Dinner
Thursday, April 15th at Celebrations in Bensalem
Guests and participants enjoyed social gathering, hors d’oeuvres, raffles and beautiful silver jewelry from Heigh-Ho Silver, followed by dinner, raffle drawings, door prizes and more. Then we enjoyed a fashion show featuring intergenerational styles and sizes to include sportswear, special occasion and professional attire by Berta Sawyer and other fine designers. Trend and youth fashions shown by Shopmamie.com and Party Girls of Newtown. Red Hatters made an appearance on the runway as well as the reigning National Miss Pennsylvania.

October 23rd:  Volunteer Luncheon
This was the first annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon to begin to thank all those who make Libertae possible. Residing in beautiful Bensalem since 1973, we have enjoyed amazing support from our communities from numerous; individuals, organizations and leaders. We felt it important to celebrate the special nature of being a part of our community and model the gratitude we profess to those we serve. Our women lived a life of isolation and shame, at Libertae they learn that they are accepted and supported and have the capacity to rejoin our larger family as responsible, active members of society. The luncheon took place at the Buck Hotel in Feasterville.

October 9th:  12 Step Walking Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
We celebrated the completion of our 12-step Walking Trail. The trail winds around the Libertae grounds and provides a safe place for the children to ride bikes and for residents and staff to stroll with babies, walk or even run in the fresh air. The goal is to promote and improve physical, emotional and mental health with activity. Also, integrating 12-step philosophies, the trail includes 12 exercise stations bringing together recovery and physical well-being.

June 28th:  Libertae's 5th Annual Lesley Duco Memorial Bike Run
Thanks to all the participants, sponsors and volunteers, this year’s event was another great success! Prizes uncluded this Classic 1973 T-350 Vintage Motorcyle!
