Employer Matching Gift Programs – Many companies match an employee’s charitable contributions through a Matching Gifts program. Please check with your Human Resource Department and ask them to send us a Matching Gift form if this benefit is available to you.

Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program

Did you know that you can make a donation to Libertae, Inc. at absolutely ZERO cost to your company? The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania allows a business to receive tax credits equal to 100% of the first $10,000 contributed and up to 90% of the remaining amount up to a maximum of $100,000 annually for contributions to Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organizations. Libertae is an approved Pre-K Scholarship Organization with the State. We are the only residential treatment program for women and children in the state with a fully licensed childcare center, Family Center. Our work with children of parents recovering from chemical dependency is critical to breaking the family cycle of addiction. You can play a critical part in giving a child back their childhood and a future.

This tax credits program is designed for companies authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax; Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax; Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax; Insurance Premiums Tax; or Mutual Thrift Institution Tax.

Tax credits may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax year in which the contribution was made.

The application process is as simple as completing a one-page form.

After receiving tax credits, an approved company has 60 days to make the actual contribution to a scholarship organization. The final step in the simple process is notifying the Department of Community and Economic Development with proof that the tax credits have been used within 30 days of making the donation.

In-Kind Giving

Libertae welcomes donations from individuals, community organizations and businesses. We are thankful for our generous local community and ask only that when wishing to donate larger household items (furniture, appliances, etc) that you contact us in advance. Our needs vary at times and storage space is limited.

Commemorative Giving

Do you sometimes struggle with the decision of what to buy friends or family members for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or even holiday gifts?

With our Commemorative Giving Program, you can make a donation to Libertae in someone’s honor, and we will mail that person a “Celebration” card to acknowledge and celebrate your thoughtful tribute. No dollar amount is disclosed.

Likewise, a “Remembrance” card can be sent in lieu of flowers when you wish to memorialize someone’s passing . . . a legacy by which anyone would be proud to be remembered because you will be making a true difference in the lives of women, children and families. Once again, no dollar amount is disclosed.
